ST. ANN'S HSS KURIANADU, established in 1982, is a privately-aided institution located in a rural area of the KURAVILANGADU block in the KOTTAYAM district of Kerala. The school offers education for Grades 5 to 12 and is co-educational.
It does not have a pre-primary section. The school operates as a single-shift institution and uses Malayalam as the medium of instruction. It is easily accessible via all-weather roads, and the academic year begins in April.
To support modern education, the school has 15 fully functional computers and a computer-aided learning lab. It also provides mid-day meals prepared on the school premises, ensuring the students’ nutritional needs are met.
On the serene hills of Kurianad, a zephyr of prayer whispers secrets to the wind. This gentle breeze carries the dreams of a community, longing for a haven where knowledge and spirituality entwine. And so, St. Ann's Higher Secondary School (HSS) Kurianad was born, a beacon of light illuminating the path to enlightenment.
The Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), renowned educators and guardians of faith, nurtured this vision. With the laying of the foundation stone on June 1, 1982, a new chapter unfolded. The school's growth was a testament to the power of collaboration, as the CMI legacy blended with the community's thirst for education.
The dawn of the new millennium marked a significant milestone in the school's journey. In 2000, St. Ann's Kurianad upgraded to a Higher Secondary School, expanding its horizons and empowering students to soar to greater heights. This transformation was a testament to the school's commitment to excellence and its dedication to shaping the minds of future generations.
Today, St. Ann's HSS Kurianad stands tall, a strong and resilient tree, its roots anchored in faith, its branches stretching towards the skies of knowledge. The school's story is one of devotion, perseverance, and the unwavering commitment to empowering future generations.
As we walk the hallowed halls of St. Ann's HSS Kurianad, we invite you to join us on this magnificent journey. May the zephyr of prayer continue to guide us, as we strive to illuminate the minds and hearts of our students, empowering them to soar to greater heights.
